In my line of work “first impressions” mean everything. That first contact may be my only opportunity to “connect” with a potential customer. Our Chamber, through its members and the chamber staff, does a fantastic job
of making a positive first impression that helps every potential member feel connected not only with the chamber but with our community. ~ Dick Orr, BCT

Connecting Businesses and Customers through Networking

Good Morning Oregon City (GMOC) is one of our Chambers’ most successful programs. Between 50 and 85 Chamber members meet at area businesses each Wednesday from 7:30 – 9:00 am. It’s a great opportunity to network with friendly businesspeople and develop relationships in the process.

Tuesday Lunch Bunch is our newest and most casual networking event. our Chamber is eating out every Tuesday at 11:30 am to socialize and meet with other chamber members. This will be a great way to get out of the office, invite your co-workers and hang out with other members while enjoying a tasty meal at one of our Chamber’s restaurants. To help our restaurants plan ahead, please RSVP to the Chamber, no later than noon the day before at 503–656–1619 or online through our Events Calendar. If you find you are free for lunch and have not RSVP’d, please feel free to join us anyway. Click here to view the schedule through May.

Chamber After Hours is a relaxed networking gathering at different area businesses after work. This provides an opportunity for those unable to attend morning networking events. We meet the third Thursday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments are offered.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are a service the Chamber provides to celebrate our members who have opened a new business, expanded their current location or moved to a new location. City dignitaries join with Chamber Board Members and Ambassadors to cut the ceremonial ribbon with our over-sized scissors. Networking, refreshments and door prizes add to the festivities.

Speed Networking is held quarterly in place of a regular GMOC and is dedicated to fast-paced networking. Four to five rotations give you the opportunity to share more about yourself and your business while learning more about 24 to 30 fellow Chamber members.

Small Business Showcase is an opportunity for Chamber members who would like to host a GMOC but do not have a location that can accommodate 50 to 85 people. Four to six Chamber members co-host and receive a table to display their materials and approximately five minutes to promote their business. These showcases occur during months that have a fifth Wednesday.
